Position Overview:

We are seeking an entry- to mid-level Business Development and Channel Sales Manager to drive growth for our services. This remote position will focus on direct sales efforts and managing our relationship with a key partner.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Business Development Efforts:

  • Conduct cold calls to potential clients to introduce and sell our services.
  • Schedule and attend meetings with prospective clients to understand their needs and demonstrate how our services can benefit them.
  • Network actively to build and maintain relationships within the business community.
  • Participate in lead groups and other networking events to generate new business opportunities.

Manage and Enhance Partner Relationship:

  • Regularly meet with the sales team of our key partner to encourage and support their efforts in selling our services.
  • Develop strategies to motivate the partner’s sales team and increase their sales performance.
  • Provide training and resources to the partner’s sales team to improve their understanding and promotion of our services.
  • Monitor the partner’s sales activities and provide feedback and guidance as needed.

Develop Sales Strategies:

  • Create and implement effective sales strategies to reach and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by addressing their needs and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Follow up with clients regularly to ensure continued engagement and satisfaction.

Collaborate with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with the firm’s lead professional to align sales efforts with service delivery.
  • Provide feedback from clients and partners to the internal team to improve service offerings.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the internal team to discuss sales progress and strategies.

Track and Report Sales Metrics:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and partner activities.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Representation and Advocacy:

  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
  • Advocate for the firm’s services and value proposition in various professional settings.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years sales experience required; background in marketing, business, or a related field preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets through indirect channels
  • Strong understanding of channel sales strategies and partner management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as CRM systems, sales analytics tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
  • Excellent self-motivation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong writing abilities
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in a loosely structured environment
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 per year, DOE
  • Commission Structure: Volume-based percentage-based commission
  • Total On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential based on performance

    • Quarterly Performance Bonuses
    • Annual Performance Bonuses
  • Other Incentives
    • Referral Bonus: for each new client referred by existing client
    • Retention Bonus

Work Arrangement:

This is primarily a remote position with scheduled in-person meetings and networking events in Central Arkansas. Some travel may be required for client meetings, networking events, and professional development conferences.

Growth Opportunities:

As the firm expands, there is potential for this role to evolve into a sales team management position.
